COVID RESTRICTIONS EASING- UPDATE:

As restrictions ease, visits into schools are now back on from September 2021.

We are pleased to offer physical visits into schools alongside virtual school visits to all schools who would prefer this . Lenny and Pat are happy to be back visiting into schools and Virtual visits include Lenny and Pat participating in a live zoom call from the Mail centre. a live video tour of the newest Mail Centre in the UK. This includes seeing the operation in action (and all the machinery we use to process the mail) and a commentary live. This is supported with videos showing the journey of a letter and parcel ( one animated Lenny the Letter video included).

Primary schools learn about Royal Mail and hear the story of the journey of a letter. Secondary schools learn about careers in the Royal Mail group.

Helping raise the spirits of sick Children at Great Ormond Street Hospital

Medway Mail Centre Charity team and the Royal Mail choir spread the Christmas cheer at Great Ormond Street children's hospital in December 2019.

The choir entertained children, parents, staff and visitors in the lagoon restaurant area with festive songs. The Medway team took a group of mascots, including Lenny the Letter, Postman Pat, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and a naughty elf, around the hospital, causing mischief, bringing smiles to the faces of the children. Over 200 Christmas gifts were handed out by the team, and all were gratefully received by the children. Next year's visit is already being planned. Very proud to be part of team Medway and the larger Royal mail family. #community.
